Design school taught me how to make polished work, while my personal experiences taught me that even the prettiest designs aren’t always accessible.
As someone with a hearing disability that affects the ability to process information (I once thought my friend asked, “What do you think of MC Hammer?” when in reality she asked, “When did you get a new camera?”), I can empathize with the user being frustrated due to poor UX/UI, let alone accessibility. I’ve been there.
